CBD is an acronym for Cannabidiol (Can-a-bi-di-ol), a prominent naturally-occurring class of molecules called cannabinoids found in the plant species Cannabis Sativa. CBD comprises up to 40% of the plant and is one of over 60 plus compounds found in cannabis. Of these compounds, CBD and THC are usually present in the highest concentrations. They are, therefore, the most recognized and studied. CBD is a non-psychoactive component of the plant that possesses a wide range of benefits and does not cause a high, unlike THC.

The Endocannabinoid system is a biological system composed of endogenous neurotransmitters that bind to receptors found in cannabinoids (like CBD) to regulate vital systems in the body such as the central nervous system and the cardiovascular system.

CB1 receptors are concentrated in the brain and the central nervous system. A system in the body that maintains core functions such as motor activity. Pain perception, stress response, and memory

CB2 receptors are widely distributed throughout the peripheral organs in the body, serving as core components in the immune system, muscular system, and cardiovascular system.

Broad-spectrum CBD is a mix between Full-spectrum CBD and CBD Isolate. Like Full-spectrum CBD, the other compounds found within the plant are preserved in the extract, yet, like CBD Isolate, THC is completely removed. Because Broad Spectrum CBD contains multiple cannabinoids, it can deliver the enhanced benefits of the “entourage effect,” without the risk of psychoactive effects of THC.

CBD oil that is derived from industrial hemp is legal at the federal level. The 2018 Farm Bill describes industrial hemp as having less than 0.3% THC, which is the compound that produces the high associated with marijuana. CBD is not psychoactive and will not generate a "high."

Please note: each state has its own laws and regulations regarding CBD. Do your research before purchasing CBD oil in any given state.

CBD oil can be applied directly under the tongue using a dropper. This mode of consumption is very easy and makes dosing a cinch since each drop of the oil contains a specific CBD concentration. Also, each King Buddha Tincture box illustrates proper dosing. therefore, you'll know exactly how much you're ingesting with every drop.

Another benefit of sublingual delivery is the shorted amount of time it takes for the CBD to enter the bloodstream. The area underneath the tongue has tiny blood capillaries. Therefore, CBD is absorbed directly and very fast into your system without passing through the digestive system.

Another way to ensure quick delivery of CBD to the cells of your body is by inhaling it utilizing a vape pen or other vaping apparatus. When the vape oil is heated to temperatures between 300-450 degrees Fahrenheit, cannabinoids like CBD take flight, vaporizing into tiny airborne droplets (vapor) that we inhale.

This mode of consumption increases the bioavailability of the CBD, which means that more of the CBD will be absorbed and utilized by your body vs. being passed through the digestive tract as waste.

For those who are experiencing localized pain or who may want to take advantage of CBD's skin-care properties, topical CBD products may be ideal. Rather than being ingested or inhaled, CBD can be applied directly to the skin at the affected area(s). Topical CBD products work exceptionally well for those experiencing chronic or acute pain in specific areas as a result of injury or chronic disease, like arthritis.

Taking a CBD ingestible (a soft gel or gummy) is a convenient and familiar way to add CBD to your regimen. Ingestible CBD products are precisely dosed and are easy to take on-the-go. Ingestible applications take longer to take effect (vs. inhalation and sublingual applications) because, like food, the liver must metabolize the CBD before it enters the bloodstream.

We counter this by utilizing nanotechnology in our ingestible products. Nanotechnology increases the bioavailability of CBD, allowing them to take effect much faster than traditional ingestible products.
